Halloween is in 10 days!! If you are like me, Halloween is the most wonderful time of the year. I know that song is meant for Christmas, but I beg to differ. I am totally a pumpkin spice gal. Crisp air, crunchy leaves, pumpkin carving, spooky decorations, how can you not love Halloween!
Halloween tends to sneak up on me every year. If you are just now realizing it is only 10 days away, I have created a guide for the best 10 Halloween movies of all time.
Put on your comfy clothes and fuzzy socks, start you fireplace, and heat up some apple cider. Get cozy on the couch with some blankets and enjoy!
1. Hocus Pocus
Come on, it's a classic! Some scenes are spooky, but mostly entertaining, and a good one for the kids to watch.
2. Halloween
Halloween would not be Halloween without Michael Myers. I recommend the first original one, but you have your options!
3. The Nightmare Before Christmas
Tim Burton is a production genius! The details, the music, the creativity. I can never get enough. If you haven't seen The Nightmare Before Christmas I highly recommend.
4. Casper
Again, a classic, but a must see! Casper is kid friendly and brings humor and joy to Halloween.
5. Silence of the Lambs
Although, not necessarily about Halloween, Silence of the Lambs is one of my all time favorite movies. The thrill and suspense is what will get ya!
6. Paranormal Activity
If you are really looking for a horror movie, Paranormal Activity is the one. Although not appropriate for children, it is definitely a spooky "Halloween" movie.
7. The Shinning
Forever one of the best horror movies! A haunted hotel and a gruesome ending. What can be more spooky than that?
8. Halloween Town
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Halloween town is magical and fun and also presents and twist that ends in heroic deeds!
9. Edward Scissorhands
If you have never seen Edward Scissorhands, know that you should. This tale is heartwarming and also heartbreaking and may also leave you feeling a little disturbed.
10. The Addams Family
An enjoyable and entertaining film, covering the life of a peculiar family, that is unaware just how different they are. This movie is great for the family and is a classic that depicts Halloween in the best way!
These are only 10 of my favorite Halloween movies. There are hundreds more to pick from! Regardless, let's make the most of these ten days before Halloween passes until next year!
