Sorry we've been away... we were sick... No, I know what you are thinking... COVID! But nope, just your average cold. As the colder weather approaches we want to make sure everyone is taking the right steps to care for themselves. As the virus is beginning to pick back up let us all take precautions in caring for ourselves and others.
First, physical health. Just as we practiced last year, wash your hands after every bathroom visit and even more if you are able, drink lots of water, maintain social distance, use hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes when out in public places, be aware of your surroundings , cover your coughs when coughing and sneezing. There are so many ways to prevent the Covid-19 vaccine from spreading. Please protect yourself and others.
Second, mental health. As Covid continues to increase and we are meant to spend more time social distancing, please make sure to take care of your mental health as well. Go for walk, read adventurous books, be mindful of your thoughts, meditate and focus on your breath, prioritize close relationships. You can only take care of your physical health if you are taking care of your mental health first.
I think most of us can agree when we say we would prefer for this virus to slow down so we can get back to our normal lives. However, we the people have to take the correct steps in the right direction to move toward that. The vaccine is accessible to almost everyone now, if that is something you feel comfortable getting you can receive it at Avera, Sioux Falls Urgent Care, Walgreens Pharmacy, etc. Stay safe out there Sioux Falls!
