Can you believe it!? We made it to 2022. I don't know about you, but I may have doubted we would make it here... Haha just jokes! We are starting off the New Year right with optimism and encouragement. However, first, I do want to apologize for letting the Holiday season get the best of me. It has been some time since my last blog post was shared, but I know you all will offer some grace. I'm not sure if this was the case for anyone else but Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Years came as quick as it went away this year.
Now that we have that settled, let's dive right in! For New Years I took a trip from Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Chicago, Illinois, and along the way I made my husband and myself come up with a list of 10 goals we have for this year. 10 goals from him and 10 goals from myself, and I highly recommend you do the same! They can be serious, they can be silly, whatever comes to your mind in 10 ways that you want to reach some form of achievement for the year 2022. I am going to share mine with you so you have an example.
1. Treat myself with self-love: I am always so hard on myself. I want to better take care of myself and give myself the grace I deserve.
2. Get in a better exercise routine: I am going to attempt to accomplish a 4 day a week workout routine that I can keep consistent.
3. Learn to cook: Sure, I know how to cook pasta and chicken, but I really want to expand my taste buds and try new things!
4. Take a trip to Disney: This is more so a goal of my husbands but it is definitely on our bucket list!
5. Write more: I love writing & I never take the time to do it. Sure I write these blogs but I hope to begin to write things for myself.
6. Practice yoga: I have begun practicing yoga for a few months now and I want to stay persistent with it.
7. Paint: I recently took a painting class and I never realized how much I truly enjoy it! It seems to soothe & relax me.
8. Take a trip to Europe: Can I take a trip to Disney & Europe? Who knows, but I am going to make it a goal anyway!
9. Go horse back riding: Even something that seems so simple but can be so difficult to make the time to do.
10. Learn Italian: A girl can dream right? That's what the point of these goals are! To dream! Even if I'm not fluent, I would still like to try.
It's as easy as that! Personally, I would recommend writing them down. Get a pen and paper and write down 10 things that you dream of for 2022. Make them goals! By the end of this year I bet you will be surprised by all that you have achieved. Good luck!!
